Customer Service Process
– Gringo’s Cantina San Diego, CA
- Valet
- Welcoming Process
- Standard on wait time
- Table attentiveness
- Exit Process
Recently I took a vacation to San Diego. We stayed in the Pacific Beach area and right outside of our condo is a restaurant named Gringo’s Cantina. Besides their amazing food I was genuinely wowed by their customer service.
The second we walked into the parking lot from our condo we were welcomed from their valet staff. Followed by a hostess’ would open the door for us and welcome us with a genuine smile. The hostess at the front desk greeted us like wise. We were sat promptly and as we were being sat the server was already putting the complimentary chips, salsa and the most amazing queso on the table for us; he also never missed pulling the chair out for my wife. Looking around the restaurant there was a buzz of excitement there. The employees seemed to love their job and the customers in turn loved the experience. The wait staff was always close and had our orders to us in minutes. Drinks made it to half empty before being refilled. As a consumer I couldn’t help but leave a very generous tip as a result of the customer service. On our way out the wait staff would make sure to thank us for coming. The hostess opened the door for us as we left and asked us to please come and visit them again. The best part is that my experience was not an isolated incident. All three times we ate there we had the same wow customer service.
Customer service at that high of a level does not happen by accident. It was very obvious to me that the owners and management team takes as much pride in their customer service as they do their food. To succeed in customer service to that degree takes a plan, training program and a great deal of practice. I will forever be a loyal customer of Gringo’s not only because of their great food but for the service I received every time they opened the door for me.
